I want a core drill key chain *A*;;;
Just send the money to paypal if you have it with your shipping info. $12+$3=$15
KLJFKLFJSDF. I WANT CORE DRILL EARRINGS!! *__* Would you accept a money order?
Yes. Email me at my sailorditz hotmail account and I'll send you my address. Dangles or just simple posts? I don't have any prepped, but I can get them started while waiting for payment to arrive.
Thankyou! I went through a half dozen incarnations to get one I'm THIS happy with. X3
Can I get a large core drill? The nicer one?

You're the first to claim it, so it's yours! Just send payment to my paypal ($13 total for just the large core drill) with your shipping address and I'll get it right to you.
Question - what are the Gurren Dan logos made from? I'm doing a formal Yoko cosplay for an upcoming ball. I prefer to make my own cosplay jewelry, but yours look very nice! And if it's made from a material I don't usually work with...
I made a base one out of Extrea Firm Sculpey, and after that I got that done and baked, I used this "Amazing Molding Putty" and "Amazing Casting Resin" that I picked up at Hobby Lobby. Yes, that's the brand name.
It took a few tries to get both decent sculpted stuff and then decent molds without any air bubbles or gaps that would mess up the resin when I poured it, but I'm pleased with the results.
There's also dye for the resin (default color is a mostly opaque white once it's done setting) which is where I got the vivid red. (Thus the red Yoko skull from running out of Gurren-dan symbol molds but now wanting to waste the last of the already mixed resin.)
All the "Amazing" stuff is 50/50 mixes of two items.
Could I get one of the red and black Gurrendan logos turned into a cell phone strap? How durable would you say they are?
The whole thing is solid red resin, so if it scrapes, that's the color that will come through. I DO coat them with a clear coat enamel, and the metal fastener is embedded in them.
The charm sized ones are only ready to be earrings but if you'd like I can make a fresh one of and get the PROPER fastener embedded into the resin instead of the thinner thing currently in them for making them into the earrings seen in the picture.
They're as durable as any other plastic charm really. The weakest point is the metal loop that attaches the charm to the strap, but if that happens, the metal loop can be reattached with minimal effort. My personal cell phone strap only slipped through the crack in that loop when I dropped my phone and it caught on something. The plastic fishing line like wire stayed firmly in place. (I can use some other wire to even MORE securely attache the charm to the strap instead of the metal loop if you're REALLY are worried.) These won't break unless some real yanking and intent are involved or some bad accident.
What are the core drill key chains made of? Sculpey, too?
Yes. Everything Core Drill is made out of Sculpey. I have press molds for the one sided stuff, but I still have to fix them up. I intend to make up some molds so can I pour resin, that'd speed things up and I could do more at once, but that hasn't happened, yet.
Can you make me a single, earring-sized core drill? I think my dollfie needs to cosplay!
I actually have one loose already, I just need to clean up the paint job that somehow got smudged while it was drying (or paint the unpainted one that has materialized in my purse). Just send payment to paypal with your order and shipping address.
$5 + $3 = $8.
Wai! I bought a core drill from you at Acen, It's a necklace now
And THANKYOU for that! Acen made me realize how popular making these could be. I'll bring them back next year, well, what I have on hand. I need to look into making more than just GL stuff. ^^;; But why change what still works??
I'm sad missed out getting the shirts some other Artist Alley person--they had the gurren-dan logo on one side, and a core drill 'necklace' printed on the other side. XD
I've only done Acen and Ikasu so far. I usually can't commit to going to a con until last minute, so unless a friend has a table, I can't set up. But I'm going to try and start planning better and set up at a few cons a year.
*prods you to put your want into a paypal transaction* =D
How much would a necklace-sized (like 3 inches big) core drill be?
*is kinda dense, sorry!* :3
I don't have any of those, and I REALLY don't want to make another. I have a love/hate relation ship with those, in that I LOVE how they CAN turn out, but I HATE how much effort it takes to get one to turn out nice enough for me to stop fiddling with it and decide it's done. I'd rather not attempt that again--not even for my own Simon cosplay. I've made several for that and they've all broke in one form or another because of the different techniques I used to make them look EVEN BETTER and fighting to keep something that size made of sculpey from getting squished while sculpting. It's very frustrating and takes a looooooooooooong time since larger size = flaws more easily AND flaws are more easily seen.
There's another guy who made a post here a few months or so ago with NICE resin casted coredrills for $20. Since his aren't individually hand sculpted, you'll probably get better luck with him. (Sorry, I don't remember the username or date of the post.)
I think I want earrings or that barette. BUT I have to wait til the money from one of my own orders comes in.
I have a bad feeling that I have a NPB though.
When you're ready to buy something, just send a payment with the order and I'll get it out ASAP to you. Even if it's weeks from now!
Nice job on the barettes! ^_^
I want a mini core drill cell phone charm so bad *^*
so $13? i will send payment later when i get home~
